Waiting for the PostBus to take us NW along the southern shore of Lake Wolfgang to St Gilgen. For some of us this will be 2170' up and 2210' dowm in 30 deg heat

This route was taken bt St Wolfgang (then the Bishop of Regensberg, 972-994).
Waiting for the bus for a 30 minute ride to Austria's 2nd largest alm, 4000' up. 1620' up and a knee testing 4040' down for some.
First Max's pack emulated a bouncing bomb down the hillside and then Brian tried the aerial route without the benefit of a parasail
The choices were shopping in Salzberg, Hallststt or St Wolfgang or the Schafberg Rack steam railway and beer. Mmmmh what should I choose?

Bus to St Gilgen and then by gondola to the summit of the Zwolferhorn (1522m). The a walk along the ridge NW to Fuschl on the Aroweg long distance path (1200km).

This was probably the most difficult day for the harder walk people, up and down 2610'.. But hey we were up in the clouds soon after leaving the bus.
